Cornell Slips & Yankees Step Up to the Plate

I had expected to hit the send button on my Cornell app yesterday, but Yoda and I decided that one of my essays could be better. Since Cornell is rolling admission, the difference between late R1 and early R2 is negligible (so I am told). I was pretty disappointed not to be done with one of my apps, but everyone says to not submit your application until it is the best it can be.

In light of that, I have moved onto finishing my Tuck essays, which are due to them by the 14th. I should have them all done by Friday and ready for the Tuck specialist that I am sending the essays to. This will give me Saturday and Sunday to prep for my interview, which is on Monday, and then Tuesday to make corrections. That is a tight timeline, but it should be doable.

Once Tuck is submitted, I then turn back to the Cornell essay I have to finish, which shouldn’t take more than 1 day. If this timeline works out I should have both of them submitted by the 15th. This would give me a month to work on NYU revisions, which is more than enough time to get that done.

Now onto what I am really happy about, my Yankee tickets to tonight’s ALDS Game 1! The big house in the Bronx is going to be rocking tonight and it will be a nice way for me to take my mind off of essays, as I have now gone 12 days straight of coming home, eating, and then writing & revising until going to bed. Did anyone see the game last night? I caught the last couple innings in bed, but it seemed like an all time great one. Playoff baseball is the most exciting time in sports and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of it. Happy Hump!
